As most of you who read this blog may know, I’m a big fan of Birchbox and their rewards system. (I pay for my own boxes, I don’t work for them or anything like that, I just enjoy the service). But in case you haven’t heard, the concept of Birchbox is that you pay $10 a month for a subscription and each month a box of 5 or 6 deluxe beauty samples arrive at your door. Sometimes they even include full sized products, yay. The samples are chosen based on your profile, and after you use the samples you are able to return to the site and fill out a quick multiple choice review for each one. Every sample that you review earns you 10 points to spend in the Birchbox shop on full sized products. These add up pretty fast and as far as I know there isn’t a limit on how many you can use per order, only that they expire after one year. So basically, saving your points can lead to more free stuff, (love!).
Last week I cashed in 100 points and also used a coupon code to get a bottle of Amika conditioner completely free. The Amika happened to be an item that shipped free, as well. So as you can see, this can be a really beneficial rewards program. In addition to earning points for reviews, you also earn points for spending money on full sized items and for referring friends.
And now to the point of this post. From now through September 14th, if you refer a friend to Birchbox you get your usual 50 points… but they ALSO get 50 points. So if you’re on the fence about Birchbox, you can sign up with a referral link and have 50 points right from the start, and if you get five items to review in your first box and fill them out, that would make 100 points. So that’s $10 to spend in the shop, making your first box essentially free. Awesome! If you’re interested in trying this out, you can use my referral link here and I will adore you. (Thank you!)
