My Birchbox Finds box arrived yesterday. Yay! Check out what was inside…
As you can see, these are full size products, not tiny samples. This limited edition box sells for $18 on the Birchbox site and personally, I think it’s well worth the price. The Frizz Ease alone is worth $10 and the mascara was normally $11 or so I think. The website says that this box is a $55 value and I believe it. You would be hard pressed to get all these things for under fifty bucks, let alone under 20. I used $10 worth of Birchbox points, as well as a 30% off coupon code I received for being a member so long. That brought my total down to about $2.50 I think, plus $5 shipping. So I got the whole box for $7.50. I needed to buy new mascara, which probably would’ve cost at least $7.50 so I got mascara, plus all of that other stuff!
I haven’t tried anything yet because I wanted to take those photos before I tore into the packaging. Overall it looks like a great variety of stuff and I can’t wait to use it all. In case you can’t tell from the photos this box includes:
- John Frieda Frizz Ease® Nourishing Oil Elixir
- Rimmel London Stay Glossy 3D Lipgloss (assorted colors)
- COVERGIRL Bombshell Volume by LashBlast™ Mascara
- COVERGIRL Bombshell Shine Shadow by LashBlast™
- NIVEA Kiss of Care & Color (assorted colors)
- Bioré Self Heating One Minute Mask
- Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure™ (assorted colors)
As I said, the shipping for this box is around $5, unlike the regular Birchboxes that ship free. Also, while this is packaged in a standard Birchbox (amazing that everything fit!), it arrived inside a larger box but thankfully still fit in my mailbox. There are definitely ways to get free shipping on this, whether it be a coupon code, spending over $50, or sometimes adding something to your order that ships free will make your whole order ship free. So check out your options. And if you’re a member of Birchbox make SURE that you do your reviews each month! It only takes a minute and you earn points back to spend in the shop. (You also earn points for referrals, and for buying products). The points are a huge benefit to Birchbox so don’t let them go to waste, especially when you can use points AND coupon codes on orders, I’ve gotten so many things free since being a member.
Birchbox is a monthly beauty and lifestyle subscription service. You fill out a profile and for $10 a month you get deluxe beauty samples delivered to your door. Review those items and earn points to spend in their shop on full sized products. To get your own Birchbox, click here. If you join now, you can get an extra sample by Benefit added to your first box. Use code BENEFITLASH for They’re Real deluxe mascara mini, or the code BENEFITCHEEK for a the benetint lip and cheek stain sample, or BENEFITEYES for the It’s Potent deluxe eye cream mini.
I should also add that I liked this box so much, that I went back and ordered a second one as a gift. 🙂 For the second box I didn’t have any points or codes left, so I just added a mini nail polish set onto the order to get free shipping. The set was $8, shipping would’ve been $5, so I’d rather pay $3 more and have something to show for it. That’s all for now.
