Quick Tips: Eyeshadow Help

For those of us that love eye makeup, it can sometimes be difficult to master. Even if you have a good grasp of it, you can find yourself in a rut of the same colors or unsure of which colors you own that will go well together. That’s where this tip comes in handy.

Youtube is absolutely full of makeup tutorials which can be alot of help, but you don’t always have time to watch tons of videos trying to find what works for you. So, here’s my solution..

First, make sure you have a Pinterest account. It’s easy to sign up and you can install it on your phone, tablet, or use it from the computer. Next, you’ll need to pick an eyeshadow palette. It doesn’t matter what brand, it can be whatever you already have, however name brand palettes are going to get more search results. Then search Pinterest for eyeshadow tutorials specifically for that palette. My personal choice is the Urban Decay Naked 2 palette, there are tons of tutorials for that one. Now all you have to do is make yourself a board to save the ones you like. Don’t try to combine this with another board, make one just for eyeshadow and name it the same thing as the palette to make sure it’s easy to find. The next time you’re getting ready, go to that board and you’ll have plenty of different looks to choose from as well as the instructions to recreate them. This works great with a tablet because you can put it on your desk beside you and have an example to look at while you do your makeup. I love this tip when I’m in a rush and don’t have time to experiment with colors. Remember, no matter what eyeshadow you use, the key is to blend everything well.
